Top ten finish in total season points at Lincoln Park Speedway in 2004 and 2005.
At 15, Nahre was given the opportunity to hop in the Steve Vaught modified. Vaught’s confidence in the youth was validated when Nahre won a top ten total points finish in his rookie season on the dirt track of Lincoln Park Speedway (LPS). Not intimidated by the fact he was racing against drivers 15 years older than him, Nahre fought on every lap and found himself near the head of the pack almost every week. He showed instinct and reaction time normally reserved for drivers with many more years of experience.
After turning 16, and finally with a driver’s license, Nahre adding to his resume experience on an asphalt track giving him the opportunity to show he’s multi-talented. Speedrome’s short track exposed him to the bumping and grinding type of racing that proved the cliche “rubbing is racing.” During that season he also returned to LPS to earn another top ten total points finish and tested his skills at the 3/8 mile track of Paragon Speedway.
Schuyler is attending the University of Northern Ohio (UNOH), a school offering a multitude of degrees with a racing focus. While attending he will learn more about racing set-ups, manufacturing, marketing, and business to help him become well-rounded in the industry. Not only does UNOH have top quality equipment and experienced instructors, it also offers its own race track where students can be part of a pit crew each week.
Schuyler is a member of the Student Motorsports Team (SMT) at UNOH. This past season the team raced two stock cars at Limaland Motorsports park. This season the team will still field two stock cars but they will also be fielding two UMP modifieds.
